Owl Hopi Kachina Doll, by Bradford Kaye
Owl Kachina Doll
Leader of the warrior Katsinam, owl is beneficial to the planted fields of the Hopi because of his protection from rodents. As with many tribes, the owl symbolizes intelligence, wisdom, and night vision. This Katsina doll literally carries its medicine. Raven Makes Gallery watched this work in development for three years and we consider it one the finest Katsina doll we've ever had.
